This is a busy week with pies to bake and turkeys to roast (thanks, Mom!), so today’s post will be a simple one and then I think we are taking the rest of the week off to relax and spend time with our family and be thankful. You won’t find out us shopping on Thursday – we dedicate it to each other, eat, say grace, and play some games.
We’ve picked up a few new carpet runners for the house and after a few weeks are loving how the fit right in. I’ve been looking for a different runner for the front hallway that would be a little more plush and insulating against our frigid tile floors (that we can’t wait to get rid of), but also wouldn’t be a budget buster. I also wanted some pattern to hide any dirt that might get tracked in from the entry way.
It’s busy without being too busy to compete with the chair and rug I have in the living room to the left. And see how our floor tiles look beige here? Well, they’re not..they’re more pink. Gots to go. Anyway, the runner I got it off Joss and Main for a sale price of $82.95 which is quite good for a 100% wool rug.
The other runner we picked up was for the kitchen. We’ve got about an 8′ stretch of flooring from the sink all the way to the front of the stove which is the perfect length for a runner. I wanted something colorful and playful for this space. Kitchens are about fun after all, right? I mean, who doesn’t dance in their kitchen?
I love the oranges in this and the stripes, too! I know plush isn’t always the way to go in a kitchen, but already with some of the cold weather we’ve had here, we’re appreciating the extra cushion underfoot. Can anyone else see heated floors in my future?? 🙂 This guy was a steal at $80.95 for 100% wool again.
Beige dogs go with everything – Birdie always matches our decor so perfectly!
Have a wonderful rest of the week and a fabulous Thanksgiving wherever you’ll be celebrating! Many blessing to you all! Xoxo
